Hack Red Hook brings developers, artists, community organizers, and builders to the same table to work together toward the same goal of cultivating neighborhood pride. Over the course of the 48-hour hackathon, teams design and build interactive hardware installations that are set up all over Red Hook. In 2016, the winning team of Hack Red Hook built an interactive light sculpture run on solar panels to light the sidewalks throughout the neighborhood.
