Blurry

An exclusive look into Dash Shaw's latest graphic novel about the ways we see.

Dash Shaw's most recent graphic novel is a meditation on how we see: each other, the world, ourselves, and how the decisions we make, make us in return. Interconnected stories of a group of characters—a man choosing what shirt to wear to a wedding, a teacher considering quitting, a figure-drawing model, a man driving into a fog bank, a woman with new glasses—are drawn together and apart in ways that test how everyday choices can make a life stretch or shrink, an expanding or contracting aperture of possibility. Blurry is a testament to the talents of one of our greatest contemporary cartoonists.
